Plans

As everyone knows, it's good to have plans. One of the most forgotten plans is the Velociraptor Escape Plan. Tonight at dinner I asked Taryn if she had one. Without skipping a beat, she goes "Yeah, I do." Plus one for a well prepared child!

Yesterday, on the ride home from Nana and Grampa's, Taryn counted to just about thirteen in in English then about six in Spanish. Pretty amazing, if you ask me. ;) So I said "Taryn, you're awesome." To which Taryn replied "I am", in a most definitive way.

Over the Rainbow

Taryn and I were driving home on Friday. Part of the trip is over a lake. Off to the left of us, while driving on the bridge, we saw a rainbow. It was really close. So close, we actually saw the "end of the rainbow". It was right there! I pointed it out to Taryn. She saw it. Told me about the colors. Then said "Maybe we could slide down it?"...

I wonder...

A long day...

Taryn went to Aunt Tina's this Thursday and had a blast playing and jumping and bouncing and more playing. On the drive home she was talkative, then... not so much. (Shhhhh.)

So proud!

Taryn isn't potty-trained yet, but she was so proud two weekends ago when she told me she wanted to go pee pee in the potty - and did! (I know, a little late posting this one.)

Taryn Bear!

Taryn came downstairs to show me an outfit she had put on. She walked down the stairs and behold my eyes, what did I see? A little Taryn Bear running around! She looked like and was soft and cuddly as a Care Bear!

For playing!

Mama was asking Taryn questions of Taryn tonight, which were all answered in Taryn's unique voice and accent:
Q: "What is your nose for?" A: "Smelling!"
Q: "What are your ears for?" A: "Hearing."
Q: "What are your eyes for?" A: "Looking."
Q: "What is your tongue for?" A: "...tasting."
Q: "What are your hands used for?" A: "For playing!!!" said with a big smiley face and outstretched arms. "...and touching"
Q: "What are your legs for?" A: "For running!" and off she went, running the circuit from the living room, to the dining room, through to the kitchen and back to the living room.
